These high quality small oak barrels will suit the distinguished wine connoisseur to enhance the complexity and palate of white wine, red wine, port and other spirits.
The oak used is the same timber as that used by wine makers for aging and maturing wine.  Due to their size, the much larger barrels used in wineries expose less area of oak to the wine.  This means that in a smaller oak barrel, the desired flavour and colour extraction is much more rapid.
The barrel includes a brass tap plug for the bung hole, matching oak stand, and a "How to use and care for sheet".
